ABSTRACT
Buscou-se elaborar o perfil epidemiológico regional de Malária, por meio de levantamento dos casos confirmados da doença notificados na 10ª Regional de Saúde do Paraná entre 2008 e 2015, por meio da análise de dados de fichas de notificação arquivadas no hospital referência em diagnóstico e os disponibilizados pelo SINAN. Observou-se discrepância entre os dados das fontes quanto ao número de casos positivos, a procedência dos pacientes e o tratamento adotado, mostrando subnotificação e preenchimento inadequado da ficha de notificação. Os dados apurados apresentaram uma frequência 35,8% de casos de malária confirmados na região, com maior frequência de Plasmodium vivax entre homens acima de 35 anos. É necessária a avaliação da qualidade da informação coletada e digitada em todos os níveis do sistema, a fim de esclarecer e intervir nas irregularidades, promover a correta ação de vigilância e evitar a subnotificação (AU).
Malaria's regional epidemiological profile was studied by means of a survey of the confirmed cases of the disease reported in the 10th Regional Health Region of the state of Paraná between 2008 and 2015, by means of the analysis of data from notification sheets filed at the hospital that is reference in diagnosis, and those made available by SINAN. There was a discrepancy among the source data regarding the number of positive cases, the origin of the patients, and the treatment adopted, showing underreporting and inadequate filling of the notification form. The verified data showed a frequency of 35.8% of malaria cases confirmed in the region, with a higher frequency of Plasmodium vivax among men over 35 years of age. It is necessary to evaluate the quality of the information collected and entered in all levels of the system in order to clarify and intervene in the irregularities, to promote the correct action of surveillance and to avoid underreporting (AU).
